i love those wet stones too... its such a statement of portland. you see japanese maples everywhere and this time of year they are so beautiful. the black stones and the wetness of them gives such a nice contrast to the leaves... oh..now that i am waxing on... i realize you meant the other one.. with the japanese roof tiles used as a border for the white stones and the little fern popping out.. i have a little fern like that in my garden too. but i love the structure of this design. it will make a good quilt... or the beginning of the design anyway.
i think glennis's mind is on her mom at the moment... i wouldn't expect a reply.
and yes...isn't heikes dying wonderful? and perfect sizes for little pieces. i think it might marry some of glennis's indigo.
